In agricultural, fences are used to keep animals in or out of an area. They can be made from a wide variety of materials, depending on terrain, location and animals to be confined. Most agricultural fencing averages about 4 feet high, and in some places, the height and construction of a fence designed to hold livestock is mandated by law.

Galvanized with Barbed top wire. This consists of a coat (iron or steel) with a protective layer of zinc. The zinc coating, when intact, prevents corrosive substances from reaching the underlying steel or iron. The zinc protects iron by corroding first. The protection provided by hot-dip galvanizing is insufficient for products that will be constantly exposed to corrosive materials such as acid rain in outdoor uses.
